There are various and conflicting views regarding the early history of Agra. Some historians are of the view, that in the ancient days, the Aryans settled themselves at the same site where agra is situated. The Aryans Chose this site because it was situated between the fertile valleys of the holly river Ganga and Yamuna ‘At that time, agra was called “Arya-Griha” Which means the dwelling place of the Aryans.

Taj Mahal:-The Taj is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It has been visited by countless people of the world. It was started in 1622 A.D. and was completed in1629 A.D. Mirza Ghiyas beg belonged to a rich family of Tehran, but after the death of his father, fortunes parted from his family and he became poor. He planned and built the outer walls, and later additions were made by successive ruler’s right up to the 20th century. The credit for the urban layout of the city and its structures is attributed to two architects namely, Vidyadar Bhattacharya, the chief architect in the royal court and Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob, apart from the Sawai himself who was a keen architectural enthusiast. And it’s looking marvelous. Many persons come here to see it after that they like to stay for more time.

Jantar Mantar:-it’s made by Swami Jai Singh who was a Rajput king served Emperor Aurangzeb and later Mughals.  Jai Singh II of Amber built his new capital of Jaipur between 1727 and 1734.
